Our North Downtown location is just one block west of TD Ameritrade Park, one block south of the intersection of 14th and Cuming Streets. Our immediate neighbors include Slowdown, Blue Line Coffee, and the offices of Saddle Creek Records. Our Box Office will open half an hour before the first show time of the day.

Parking
Free parking is available in the lot behind our cinema. To access the parking lot, take Cuming Street to 14th Street and turn south. Once on 14th Street, you’ll make an immediate left into the parking lot, which sits behind the entire Saddle Creek Records complex.

On-street, metered parking is also available in the area surrounding the cinema (free after 9 pm Monday through Saturday and all day Sunday).

Ample bicycle parking is available at any of several bike racks on our block. We are also conveniently located near a Heartland B-cycle station.

Ticket Refunds
Tickets may be refunded until one week prior to the screening/event date. Tickets may be exchanged for another performance until 24 hours prior to the screening. Within 24 hours of screening/event, no refunds or exchanges will be accepted. In the event that Film Streams needs to cancel a showing, we offer ticket exchanges or complimentary passes for any of our regularly priced programming.

Concessions
Our concessions stand is stocked with movie treats both traditional and inventive. In addition to some of the best popcorn in town – popped in sunflower oil and topped to your liking with real butter – we also offer candy, locally-baked cookies, Herman’s Nuthouse nuts, Omaha Steaks beef sticks, soda, Blue Line coffee, wine, and local craft beer.

Accessibility

  • Our entire facility is accessible by wheelchair. We can reserve space in our theaters for those using wheelchairs and their parties. Please call ahead at 402-933-0259 x15 to make such reservations.
  • Free, off-street parking with reserved spaces for those with disabilities is available in the lot behind our building, accessible from 14th Street between Cuming and Mike Fahey Streets. Metered spaces for those with disabilities are also available on the corner of 14th and Mike Fahey Streets.
  • The Ruth Sokolof Theater is equipped with the Fidelio wireless assisted listening devices for hearing or visually impaired. The Fidelio delivers descriptive narration for the visually impaired and or amplified sound for the hearing impaired. The system consists of a compact audio receiver with a plug-in headset, or you can bring in your own headset. Descriptive Narration availability is subject to the content made available from distributors.
  • Not every film is enabled with the content necessary for descriptive narration. All film content is available with amplified sound through our Assisted Listening Devices (ALD).
  • We also have CaptiView devices, which transmit dialogue to a small easy-to-read personal screen attached to the viewer’s seat. The device features a privacy visor to prevent distractions to others in the auditorium. Closed captioning availability is subject to the content made available from distributors. Not every film is enabled with the content necessary for closed captioning. Please note that the equipment is subject to availability, and you may be asked to leave a form of ID to ensure the safe return of the equipment.
  • We play many foreign films, all of which are accompanied with English subtitles.
  • Unfortunately, film distributors rarely offer open captioned versions of first-run films. When available and if we are aware of interest, we will do our best to provide captioned versions of the first-run films we show. For requests, please contact the General Manager at 402-933-0259 x20.
